Raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Lisa moved to New York City, in 1979. She's been a fashion editor at Mademoiselle Magazine, and at American Vogue, where she was European Editor in Paris and later West Coast Editor in Los Angeles. After more than 15 years in the fashion business she decided to focus on her own photography and interest in subcultures and ceremonies. She's published two books of her work, "Rodeo Girls"(1999) and "Shriners"(2004).
In 1999 she co-founded Greybull Press in order to publish beautifully crafted art and photography books by artists as varied as R. Crumb, Richard Prince, and Dennis Hopper.
Lisa has contributed to W Magazine, 10 Magazine, French Vogue, Pop Magazine, New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, Travel & Leisure, Next Liberation, Nowness and Harpers Bazaar. Her advertising clients include, Oliver Peoples, Keds, Fay, Alabama Chanin, and The Natural History Museum.
She is represented by M+B gallery in Los Angeles for her fine art prints.
